HIV Disclosure

Disclosing your HIV status to other people can be something that people worry about but there are ways you can make it easier.

Speaking with HIV positive peers and hearing about their disclosure experiences may assist you in determining how you will disclose your HIV status to another person in relation to sex, relationships, friends, family or the workplace.

SAMESH provides peer support and workshops that can help you learn more about disclosing your HIV status.

Disclosure of HIV status is one of the main areas where the law affects the lives of people living with HIV. If you are thinking about whether or not to disclose your HIV status you can find out more information in Disclosing your HIV Status: A Guide to some of the legal issues in South Australia  a document produced by the HIV/AIDS Legal Centre (halc.org.au)
